We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to run Readily, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are
Readily is a project by Creative Minds at Work (CMAW), based in Cape Town, South Africa. We are responsible for the personal information collected through getreadily.com and the Readily app.
What we collect
- Early access: your first name, last name, email address and whether you would like a demo.
- Book requests: the book title, author, any notes you add and your email address.
- Using the app: the books and requests you send us so Readily can write summaries and answer chat messages.
- Basic technical details: things like your browser type and the pages you visit, so the site runs securely and reliably.
Your saved books, highlights, reading preferences and added summaries are currently stored in your own browser on your device.
How we use it
- To manage early access, send invitations and arrange demos you ask for.
- To send you emails about Readily. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To respond to book requests and questions.
- To keep Readily working well and make it better.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Readily, such as hosting, email delivery, the workspace tools we use to manage sign-ups, and the AI services that help write summaries. They only receive what they need to do that job. We will also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are part of Readily’s early access or use the app, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to us using it. Email us and we will help. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
Cookies and browser storage
Readily uses your browser’s storage to remember your reading data and preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Clearing your browser data removes what is stored on your device.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the risk low.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. For bigger changes, we will let you know by email.
